Trojan Community

  • USC Student Equity and Inclusion Programs (SEIP) is a cluster of student development centers and initiatives within USC Student Life that offer student support services and programs that focus on intersectionality, sense of belonging and well-being.
  • The First Generation Plus Success Center serves as the main hub for transfer students. The FG+SC aims to create a culture of belonging and inclusion that will facilitate the transition of USC first-generation, undocumented, former foster youth, and transfer students into college life.
  • USC’s Office of Religious & Spiritual Life  sponsors a variety of opportunities for exploring the spiritual dimensions of your life and learning.
  • The Kortschak Center for Learning and Creativity (KCLC) offers outreach, programming, and individual coaching services to USC students and departments to promote a campus-wide understanding of learning differences and their potential to facilitate creativity and academic excellence.
  • Campus Activities’ mission is to build community and foster leadership development through co-curricular opportunities that enhance the Trojan experience.
  • If you’re looking for a way to get involved and meet other students, USC has more than 1,000 registered student organizations (RSOs), which are responsible for the majority of programs and events held on campus.

Health and Wellbeing

  • Student Basic Needs ensures student well-being through food, housing, and economic justice. Their services include campus and community resources, one on one consultations, and the Trojan Food Pantry.
  • Campus Support & Intervention (CSI) assists current students, faculty, and staff in navigating complex issues. Whether you are seeking support for yourself or someone else, CSI is available to help you problem solve, understand options, and connect with resources.
  • USC Student Health offers a variety of health-related resources, including Counseling & Mental Health Services.
  • Mindful USC offers mindfulness-related classes, programming and events designed to foster growth, health, wisdom, compassion, and connection within and among the diverse communities of USC.
  • The Office of Student Accessibility Services (OSAS)  ensures equal access for students with disabilities in compliance with state and federal law. The OSAS team is committed to serving the USC community through ensuring equal access, removing disability-related obstacles, supporting civil rights, and increasing education and awareness on behalf of students with disabilities.

Career Development

  • The USC Career Center bridges the gap between academia and industry, positively contributing to students’ professional growth and development.
  • Academic units such as Viterbi  and Dornsife also have their own career support services.

Reporting and Safety Resources

  • The Department of Public Safety (DPS) is responsible for providing public safety services to the university community. DPS is available at the University Park Campus (emergency 213-740-4321; non-emergency 213-740-6000) as well as the Health Science Campus (emergency 323-442-1000; non-emergency 323-442-1200)
  • LiveSafe, managed by the USC Department of Public Safety and the USC Department of Emergency Planning, is a free Mobile Safety App that mobile users can use to initiate contact with emergency responders around the University Park and Health Science campuses.
  • TrojansAlert is an emergency notification system that allows university officials to contact you during an emergency by sending messages via text message and email.
  • The Office for Equity, Equal Opportunity and Title IX (EEO-TIX) is dedicated to addressing reports of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation within the University community. It provides support for individuals who experience or witness incidents involving protected characteristics, including sexual harassment, assault, dating and domestic violence, and stalking. The University encourages prompt reporting and assures that retaliation against those who report or participate in investigations will not be tolerated. The EEO-TIX Office is committed to responding promptly and ensuring a fair process for all involved.
