Description and Program Goals

Much more than a scholarship, the USC President’s High-Tech Scholars Program will enable students from diverse backgrounds not only to learn advanced computing skills that will prepare them for successful careers, but also to understand the ethical dimensions and societal impact of powerful technologies. The generous financial support package will enable scholars to pursue academic and co-curricular interests as well as numerous opportunities for 1:1 mentorship with faculty and industry leaders from diverse backgrounds, which in many cases are USC alumni. The result will be a community of scholars equipped to become tomorrow’s ethical leaders in technology.
